I don’t know about you, but after the holiday décor is packed safely away, nothing feels better than a clean and simple décor plan around the house. My eyes need a rest from all the twinkle lights and garland draped on everything. I am just over it all! It’s nice to actually be able to walk around and see the bones of my rooms.
Don’t get me wrong, I love all things Christmas, but I am also a lover of uncluttered spaces. My mind is usually racing onto the next project or next cleaning task so it’s nice to have everything put away and just let the house breath a little. Am I the only one that refers to their house like it’s a person? I sure hope not!
Let me show you around a bit!
Clean and Simple Décor for Winter
I went all neutral rustric and I am loving the calm feeling it brings to the space. Just by staying in the same color family the whole space is unified.
Same wood tones carried out in here with gray striped pillows and my favorite gray throw blanket. This is pretty similar to how I decorated last winter. I just simplified it even more. You can see that post here and here.
It’s amazing how just clearing off the table and adding a vase of fiddle fig cuttings makes it seem so simple. White dishes on display and some plants (#crazyplantladyoverhere) and it is cohesive and has the crisp clean look I am aiming for.
I carried the wood tones in here also, along with a teenager eating a snack in her natural habitat…my kitchen! lol
Did you go all clean and simple décor after Christmas? If so let’s talk about it in the comments.
Thanks for stopping in today to see my clean and simple décor for Winter.
